FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is it used for? Is this a mosquito repellent?

Because the Rosemary and Cedarwood product range has not been classified as an insect repellent by the APVMA (Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicine Association) yet, we are not legally allowed to state that it repels mosquitoes, midges or flies. However, we can tell you what our customers claim it has done for them: some claim that they have used it to repel mosquitoes, midges and flies. Some claim they have successfully reduced the sting and itch of bull ant bites, sandfly, midgie bites and mosquito bites and we have even had a few customers report that it has decreased pain in inflamed and/or arthritic joints.

The product is currently undergoing testing by the APVMA so that it can be classified as an insect repellent. The majority of our customers come through word of mouth in caravan and camping groups, online forums and other places geared towards those who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle so it gives you some idea of the effectiveness of the product.

Can I use it on my dog? Can I use it on my horse?

We are not permitted to recommend it for use on animals due to the APVMA registration process that it is undergoing. But as it only contains essential oils and a natural base, yes, it is safe for humans and animals.

Can I use it on my baby?

It is not recommended for children under 2 years due to the essential oils as babies have very sensitive skin.

I’m pregnant. Can I use it?

Essential oils are not recommended for use when pregnant.

Is it vegan?

No animal products are used in the production of the cremes or lotions.

You can add and delete things in your shopping cart to see what you would prefer to buy and how much it would cost you. Just click the Update button each time. Once there, you can pay via credit card or bank account.

In most cases, your order will be packed and shipped within the next two business days.

I don’t like ordering online. Can I order directly through you?

It is possible but not preferable as it adds a lengthy delay to the process.

Do you sell in stores? Where can I find a stockist?

We are an online business only. While people do order from us to sell in their own businesses, we do not have the resources to provide detailed stockist information. Some people resell it at markets, some at bricks and mortar stores, and others online. You can try local saddlery stores and agricultural stores in your area as they may carry it. Some work wear/work safety comanies also sell it. If you are unable to locate a local supplier, you can order online.

What is the postage charge?

The products are sent via Australia Post in flat rate satchels and this determines what postage we charge. The weight categories are up to 500g, up to 3kg and up to 5kg. Anything over these weights is sent as a parcel. You can see what postage you can expect to pay by selecting the items in our online store. Once you have done that click Checkout and enter your address details then click Update at the bottom of the page. The postage will be shown. Note that you are NOT charged anything at this stage. You can add or remove items from your shopping cart and go to checkout repeatedly to see what the postage is for each combination of items.

Because of the weight categories fixed by Australia Post, the postage charge is the same for one 50g or roll on as it is for four or five of them. So if you have friends who are interested in the products it may be more cost effective to combine the orders and just pay one lot of postage.

Can you send a price list?

We’ve streamlined our procedures and now have all the pricing on the website. There are different pricing points for each product. You can see all the pricing points by clicking on the More Info tab below each product. There are discounts for ordering in bulk.

Can I resell the range of Nature’s Botanical?

You are welcome to place an order and resell it. The website will automatically calculate a discount for bulk orders which is what the wholesale price is. You can add and delete things in your shopping cart to see what you would prefer to stock and how much it would cost you. Just click Update each time.

I want to wear this with sunscreen. Which do think I should put on first?

We suggest you apply sunscreen first and then the NB crème.

Which is better - the crème, roll-on or spray?

It depends on your usage and needs. The roll-on is convenient especially if you need to keep your hands clean e.g. fishermen baiting hooks etc. However, the crème lasts longer on the skin and so requires less frequent application. The spray is convenient if you need to apply it to multiple people or large surface areas of skin. The formulation of the rollon and spray is the same.

Do you have reps on the road selling your products? Can I be a rep?

No, we don't have reps on the road selling the Nature's Botanical range of products because it has not yet been classified as an insect repellent by the APVMA (Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicine Association) and therefore we are not allowed make any claims as o its effectiveness.

Can I refill the roll-ons?

No.

Can I get the Product Safety/MSDS?

Email us and we will send you a copy.
